Council of Doom

Highlights

This is a stealth vote & bleed deck using Multi Master Phase Actions (MMPA). It uses Huitzilopochtli, The Parthenon and Rumors of Gehenna to get more Master actions, then Villein and Information Highway to get big capacity vampires into play fast and cheap.

Ashur Tablets and Liquidation are used to bloat and get some recursion to adapt the deck content to the table context for maximum efficiency.

The deck delivers pool damage from stealthed naked bleeds from the Inner Circle Arika and Leandro, and also damage-dealing votes.

Majesty is used for combat protection, Deflection to bounce bleeds and O for high stealth using Into Thin Air and Elder Impersonation.

Tips & Tricks

If drawn, getting Huitzilopochtli into play first for more Master actions is best.

This is an old archetype, and this version uses many cards since banned: Anthelios, The Red Star, Temptation of Greater Power and Lilith's Blessing. No doubt removing them makes the deck less efficient, and modifications would have to be made.

Variants

No variant of this deck exist per se, although one could argue that the Girls Will Find Inner Circle archetype is a more or less direct heir to this archetype.

Many minor variations on the crypt or minion cards exist. Including Etrius, Obedience for combat defence, Zillah's Valley for crypt acceleration, some d bleed enhancers like Conditioning or Carlton Van Wyk for defence, are quite usual. Ruben Feldman's deck from 2009 is a good example.

Errata

Pentex™ Subversion has been modified by an errata in September 2019. It does not prevent a vampire to act anymore, so it is less powerful and should probably not be included in the deck anymore.

Villein has been modified by an errata in June 2018 to limit the blood taken to a maximum of 5. It should still be as efficient as ever in this archetype, though.

Ashur Tablets has been modified by an errata in February 2024. Only one can be played per turn now, but how much impact it does have on that deck is unclear.
