t Anson Grooming
Highlights
This is a breed & boon deck starring Anson and using as the discipline to push votes. The purpose is to have him out as fast as possible to use Political Actions to kill the prey.
Tips & Tricks
Grooming the Protégé costs quite an amount of blood and it is necessary to replenish the vampires from time to time. Using Voter Captivation to replenish the vampires helps playing as many offensive actions as possible opposed to hunt actions. Another way to bloat is Parity Shift.
Parity Shift can only be called by Princes and Justicars. In this deck, only Anson and Tatiana Romanov can call for it without any prior action. Toreador Justicar will help have more vampires able to.
Toreador Grand Ball is of great help against a prey and/or a predator with a good block capacity as a low capacity vampire can be chosen to make all votes from Anson unblockable. This same low cap vampire can be chosen again to help another vampire with another Toreador Grand Ball.
It is possible to negociate with the great predator how to assign damage if their votes are necessary. It is important to still deal more damage to the prey than to the predator. Otherwise, it will only help the great predator oust their prey and become the predator more quickly.
It is a good idea when the grand-prey deck has good block capacity to also deal some damage to them. Indeed, they do not get the chance to block the undirected vote actions until they are either the prey or the predator.
Tournament Version
Iñaki Jimenez's deck is the only tournament version of this deck.
Errata
Parity Shift has been modified in the September 2019 errata. The amount of pool is no longer equal to the number of Methusalah, but is stable at 3. The card is then less powerful in the game beginning, but is still a good fit in this deck.
